Artisan & Butterfly Farm tour

Learn about the various stages of the life of a butterfly at the Neotropical Butterfly Farm. Then on to the Maroon woodcarvers and Amerindian potters. To conclude the tour we visit Colakreek to relax and go for a swim in the refreshing Black water.

We leave Paramaribo by bus for a tour at the Neotropical Butterfly Farm (one of the biggest butterfly and snake farms in the region). After this we drive to a nearby village to seen Maroon wood carvers, who – with a simple knife, carve the most intricate patterns in wooden benches and ornamental panels. Next is a stop at the Amerindian potters, where you get to admire genuine Surinamese pottery. Our last stop is at Cola Kreek where you can relax and swim in a Creek with Black water.

The most advantageous way to pay is cash or by bank* in Euro.
Followed by cash in SRD or U$D, then POS in SRD * and finally a credit card payment **.
