Swimwear: At Frederiksdorp you have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in their swimming pool. Please note that use of the swimming pool is subject to availability at the resort. If the resort is fully booked, it is unfortunately not possible to use the swimming pool. - Backpack: Use during the walk to put personal belongings and possibly your towel or bottle of water
- Waterproof bag for electronics and valuables: In case you want to keep these items safe.

General information
Transport
Transport from the center to the pier is not included in the price. We can arrange a transfer for you if you are staying in the center of Paramaribo. The price is €10 per person based on 2 people for the pier and vice versa.
Departure from Leonsberg pier
We leave from Leonsberg pier at 9:00 am. We sail up the Suriname River towards Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam.
Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam
Our first stop is Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam. Fort Nieuw-Amsterdam is the capital of the Commewijne district. We visit the open-air museum here. You will learn a lot about the different population groups and Suriname's slavery past.
Rest & Work
After this we sail to the former coffee plantation Rust & Work. Currently, approximately 300 people still live on the former plantation. You will receive a tour of the village and along the way we will make a stop to enjoy a cooling coconut.
Frederiksdorp
Our last stop is the former Frederiksdorp plantation. There are beautiful renovated plantation homes here. You will have the opportunity to buy your own lunch in SRD and if the occupancy is not too high you can also take a refreshing dip in the pool. You can relax here and completely unwind. Around 3 p.m. we leave again for the Leonsberg pier. If we are lucky we will encounter the playful dolphins along the way. We will be back at the pier around 4 p.m. and you will look back on an educational and relaxing day.
